General information of the OH-XKD

Halli 8000ft 6th of October 2006 15:30

True speed has been measured by using GPS.
True speed is measured by flying to four different directions (0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees) and calculating the average. Percentage value is calculated sea level output power with given RPM and manifold pressure.
Note:
1) At 8000ft altitude, the air density has decreased and therefore the speed indicator value must be multiplied with 1.128 (std temp). True airspeed should never be higher than 210mph Vne -> Therefore at 8000ft altitude the speed indicator should never show higher than 186mph (std temp).
2) Actual output power at 8000ft is slightly more than output power at sea level when RPM and manifold pressure are equal.
